- Two brothers, Alex King and Derek King joined forces to kill their father a Sunday after Thanksgiving in 2001. The they brutally beat their father to death while he slept with a bat. They then set the house on fire attempting to cover up their crime. Soon enough they confessed to the crime involving 41 year old Ricky Chavis. Chavis, a former convicted child molester was accused of being sexually involved with Alex.


- I think that what these kids did was bizarre. Killing their father regardless of anything shouldn't be an excuse. Maybe they had a rough childhood, maybe Alex's "molester" was a trigger in the killing of his father. In my opinion they should have gotten more years. The reason for their short conviction was most likely influenced by their young age.

I would have to say angelo's and emil's because of their prizes. Although my team didnt win i still got some of their food. It wa enought to feed the whole class.

My presentation wasnt the best and if i had the chance to change anything about it i wouldnt becasuse my group did the best they could.

The name of the current novel im reading is You Dont Know me by David Klass.
The basic idea of the book is that John is trying to fugure out who he really is. He gives significant names to specific people in his life depending on their physical appearance or their personality. he has a bad life, always getting hit by his step father and he finally meets the girl of his dreams but in the they dont work our and his step father almost kills him
Thre are gender stereotypes bacasue John is always judging pepople for who they are and wht they look like.
John , His step father, His real father, Billy, Tom.
John's step dad was one of the main characters and he played an important role becaause he was one of the main reasons why he acted the way he did.
What is ALL the characters in your current novel were female? Please explain how that would affect the novel.

Controversial Science of 2009

Fetuses have memories.

I chose this topic because i just like most people thought that fetuses were not living thigs a that stage but that shows how far science has come.

My stance on this article is impressive beacause it changed my opinion on abortion. It just shows that a fetust is just like a born babie. Some think a fetus is non living due to the fact that its in the plasenta and not "in the real world". I find it extramely amazing that something as small as a fetus has the ability to think for itself. although its not as developed as an older human its still the same.

i think this was selected as a controversial articel because like i said before science has come far. Wee are able to make legs, and research things that are extraordinary

Guggenheim Reflection

When the bus first pulled out to the museum my fist impression was that that was a "different building. Not all museums are circular and in find that interesting. As i walked in i had a feeling that the museum was small but as i kept walking the natural light that came from above the building gave me the feeling of open space. Although most of the artistic work was much similar to one another each piece of art had its own twist. I think that one of my biggest problem was that i had too many expectations. i expected to see "the bed" and the glass exhibit. I saw none. For next year, i would suggest to be there for less time in the building and more time examining the architectural structure. My Favorite part of the trip was when we walked in bacause i liked that imediate change of feeling.
